Prospectus \u2013 Full Inclusion Ministry Paper Instructions<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 1. Brief description<\/span><\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n You will write a 10-page paper that synthesizes and applies the core concepts of this course in a real world setting. <\/span>Specifically, create a church (or you may use a real church as a model) and propose a full inclusion children\u2019s ministry program that will meet the needs of one specific child who they also create. <\/span>Describe the church and current children\u2019s ministry and then present a proposal that includes a scientific (i.e., research-based) and biblical rationale, and the resources needed to successfully implement the ministry. <\/span>In addition, identify a fictional child and describe that child\u2019s disability (including current research in the area), church-family partnership opportunities for IEP\/IFSP goals, and a long-term plan for the ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n 3. Purpose<\/span><\/strong>: <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The purpose of the <\/span>prospectus <\/span>paper is to improve <\/span>your <\/span>research and communication skills, <\/span>while increasing<\/span>your <\/span>knowledge of a specific content area of interest.<\/span> <\/span>In addition, this will provide you with a creative way of synthesizing and applying core course concepts in a way that will deepen your understanding of the topic.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 4. Details<\/span><\/strong>: <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n S<\/span>pecifically address a hypothetical child with special needs who is already active in the church\u2019s children\u2019s ministry programming. <\/span><\/span>You <\/span>may select a disability that interests <\/span>you <\/span>or with which <\/span>you <\/span>feel called to work. <\/span>The prospectus must include the following:<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 1.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>A brief overview of the church and current children\u2019s ministry.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 2.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>A rationale (both biblical and scientific) for full inclusion, including a \u201cmission statement\u201d for a special needs ministry.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 3.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>A proposal of the key elements needed for a successful full inclusion program at the church (e.g., volunteers, training, adaptive materials, etc.).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 4.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>An introduction to the specific child and a research section detailing the specific disability (etiology, prevalence, characteristics, prognosis, current research in the field, social dynamics, etc.)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 5.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>A section specifically addressing how the church could partner with the family and other service professionals to meet four<\/span> specific goals, including one<\/span> spiritual development goal.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 6.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>A plan for growth in the area of special needs ministry in the coming year and 5 years down the road (please include 3 \u2013 5 specific goals that are measurable and can be evaluated).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Title page, abstract page, at least 10full pages of <\/span>content<\/span>, and a reference page <\/span>need to <\/span>be included. <\/span> <\/span><\/span>The project will be no less than 13pages when completed. <\/span>Additional creative graphics or tables that<\/span> you<\/span> find helpful may also be included (in addition to the 13pages). <\/span>This assignment must be formatted in American Psychological Association (APA)<\/span> 6th<\/sup> ed.<\/span> format and will have no less than <\/span>5<\/span> current, professional\/scholarly resources<\/span> in addition to the textbook and Bible<\/span>. <\/span>The list of sources in the references must exactly match the sources cited in the text of the paper.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
