I was very nervous when i first signed up for this class due to politics can be very dirty and complicated but after taking this class i definitely feel that i am going to enjoy being part of the team after i retire.The one thing that i took away from this class was that politics plays a big roll in DHS. I learned a lot on how executive orders work and what impact it can have on the organizations or departments. I learned how complicated securing the border can be and how their are many loopholes that criminals and terrorist jump through to get to the U.S. to harm our citizens. Over all the first week was the most interesting because a lot of people talk about the constitution of the United States of America but not to many people bother to

read
it in its entirety. I found it very interesting in how our forefathers thought and cant imagine how much work went into these important

documents
