Directions

1. Select a screening test (Colon Cancer Screening/Colonoscopy) and the age appropriate population at risk (women 45-65)

2. Introduce the screening and why you selected it.

The students father was diagnosed at the age of 52 with colon cancer. He died less than one year later at the age of 53. By the time it was diagnosed it had metastasized. Had it been caught earlier, he would still be with us today.

3. Outline the relevant group statistics related to the population as well as the impact of

the group on women’s health.

4. Discuss the issues impacting screening.
