This week we’ll be covering master plans, zoning, and land development. Many of us are unaware of our own communities Master plan and zoning map. For this assignment, I would like each of you to investigate your own communities Master plan and zoning map. For this assignment, you willl: 1) provide an overview of the master plan, 2) identify components of the plan that relate to the environment (including functional plans), and 3) provide your opinion on how the zoning map reflects environmental aspects in the plan, and areas in the zoning map that may contradict environmental aspects identified in the master plan.

Several students have asked about formatting detals regarding the weekly short writing assignments, so I thought I would just put it in writing for everyone to view:

1) single space (1.2)

2) Times new roman (or something similar) 11 pt. font

3) Normal margins (typically 1 inch from each edge)

4) APA citation format
