This project will allow you to explore nutritional topics that you are personally interested in and share your information with your classmates. I strongly recommend that you select topics that you are genuinely interested in. Maybe you’ve heard about the alleged benefits of omega-3 fatty acids and would like to know more about how they work. This assignment is your chance to learn more about whatever piques your interest in the nutritional world.

Directions:

For this project:

1. Decide what topic you want to research.
2. Find an article on the web about your topic.
3. Individually create a 1-2 page typed summary detailing the following:

• The main points the article makes.
• The reliability of the information. (Do you think the information provided is reliable? Why or why not?)
• The impact this information has on your diet. (Did this information make you want to change your diet in any way? Why? Why not?)
• Create a ‘Fact Sheet‘ about your topic (with appropriate references) that you will then share with the rest of the class.
