Applications of Operational Psychology
The foremost mission of an individual working in the field of operational psychology is to support the mission of the organization. If supporting the government, the individual working in the field of operational psychology must consider how his or her actions impact and support the government’s mission. Nonclinical support refers to supporting a mission by applying the tenets of psychology for mission planning and success rather than supporting the mental health of its personnel. As the goals and objectives of our government and the military change, the psychological operations related to them should also change.
