This weeks assignment will come from CH 1. 

Assignment Week 1

Directions:

Using the steps outlined in the book, describe a survey research project idea and your hypothesis.  Explain and demonstrate the following with APA citations from the book and details from your idea:

1. Justify that your topic as appropriate to research (see p. 26)
2. Describe your focused question
3. Describe what you think your independent and dependent variables are going to be 
4. Justify that your study and question are scientific as opposed to non-scientific?
5. Describe the study as exploratory, descriptive, explanatory, or evaluative and why you think so. Describe if it is basic or applied, why?

Format:

Your paper must be at least 1000 words (approx. 4 pages at 12 point, Times New Roman, double spaced) <(IMPORTANT)

APA format with a correctly formatted title page

Correctly formatted page numbers

Double spaced

No extra spaces between paragraphs

Include a works cited page and use internal citation with page numbers

Failure to use the format perfectly could result in a loss of a letter grade
