For your BIO 169 term paper, you are going to create your own alien organism. To begin your discussion, you may make up your own planet or pick one of the eight planets or Pluto of our solar system. As you describe your creation you must include the following:
- You must describe the environment of the planet. This must include both organic (plant/animal life) and inorganic (terrain/climate/etc.) components.
- Discuss five organ systems from BIO 168 and BIO 169. Compare and contrast the similarities and differences of these five systems in humans and your alien. Also, discuss the function of these organ systems and how they contribute to the survival of the alien in the environment.
- Develop two novel organs not found in humans, describe the structure and function of each as well as how they contribute to the survival of the alien.
- Please feel free to be as creative as possible. Make sure you cite your sources! You will have some, I know you have completed Bio 168 and are about to complete Bio 169 but we are not experts yet!
- You must use a minimum of five sources in addition to your textbook. Remember to cite all sources and cite your textbook.
